St Andrews is an historic and picturesque city situated on the east coast of Scotland. Renowned as the original home of golf, the town now boasts 5 golf courses in addition to the famous "Old Course". There are a further 8 Championship courses in the North Fife area.

The area is a golfer's paradise, but the city has many other attractions. It is steeped in history, with the ruins of its medieval castle overlooking the sea and its majestic cathedral. Scotland’s first university was founded here in the fifteenth century and flourishes today whilst maintaining many of its old traditions. Fine university buildings line many of the streets in the town, but St Andrews is also a seaside town with miles of golden sand and fine beaches. There are also plenty of activities and events throughout the year such as the annual Lammas Fair, University Pageants and Highland games, sporting activities such as tennis, cycling, swimming and angling, plus theatre and a museum.
