Hosted by the current Scottish champion and ‘One man and his dog’ winner Scott Renwick there will be refreshments, children’s games and we’re hoping to organise an evening ceilidh. If you want a wet weather attraction for all the family then the pool, gym and sauna are ideal.

After about a year of building work to replace the leisure centre roof, the 25 metre Ullapool swimming pool has now re-opened, resplendent with new changing rooms and solar panels on the roof. Future plans are to share a small scale district biomass heating system with the village hall and An Talla Solais arts centre.

We made focacia, spelt, wholemeal, plain white loaves, fruit bread and soda bread, as well as learning about sourdough. The bakery is in the village and Alan the baker has over forty years experience of ‘proper’ baking. All their bread is made without additives by hand.
